On a personal note, I have known Ed since I joined the chapter.
Besides loving to ride with the chapter, Ed and his wife Dolores were
constant volunteers at chapter events. He was a fellow of very good
humor, someone I could always kid around with. His heart was as big
as his Ultra. He would always try to give me a coupon he got in Hawaii
at a Cold Stone there and want to know why he couldn't use it at my store.
I would tell him he could use it if he could prove he rode to Hawaii
on his Harley. When Ed got sick he would stop my store after going to
the doctor's office and load up on ice cream. Ed was the first person
to ever tell me how happy he was to be gaining weight from eating my
ice cream. I cannot count how many rides I have been on with Ed and Dolores,
or how many times I sat across from him at lunch during a ride. Ed loved
riding his Harley, loved this chapter, and I am safe in saying that we
all loved Ed.
